The Tacks lineup is all about maximum coverage and optimal protection and the Tacks 4052 elbow pads do not disappoint. Although D3O foam is not featured in these elbow pads, the 4052’s showcase pro approved JDP caps. The Joint Discharge Principle (JDP) uses the principle that the cap should disperse energy from an impact away from the fragile joint and into the big surrounding muscles. This concept is applied to the 4052 elbow cap and is widely popular with many players in the NHL.
To provide great mobility, the Tacks 4052 are designed as a 2-piece construction. The floating bicep guard is constructed with Tacks molded foam armor reinforced with a large plastic insert. In the forearm we have a segmented multi density foam overlay which is also reinforced with a plastic insert to provide a really good wrap and lightweight protection.
The liner is made with brushed nylon and is made to be very soft and cushioned so your arm will be more comfortable. For the strapping system CCM uses a 3-piece design, the bicep strap is a thick elastic strap, the mid strap is reinforced lycra, and the forearm strap is a locking webbing strap that gives great security.
