The Bauer Vapor 1X hockey pant is the top tier model in the latest Vapor line that features a tapered overall fit. This pant is constructed with a standard fit at the top and a “close to the body” type of fit in the legs. This construction won’t inhibit a player’s ability to skate and it’ll allow for quick and agile movements for ultimate mobility.
The most important aspect about a hockey pant comes in the protection properties which Bauer hit spot on in the 1X. Throughout the pant, the integration of Bauer’s Curv Composite and AEROLITE technology increases the protection to elite levels in key impact zones while still reducing the overall weight. AEROLITE is a high grade foam with ultra-lightweight properties that offers pro level impact protection. Curv composite is that same material you will find on the 1X skates, it is exceptionally high in stiffness and strength while again having feather light properties. The application of both Curv and AEROLITE can be found in the Free Flex spine, hip, and thigh protection, while the kidney guards will only be composed of the AEROLITE foam.
Getting into what holds it all together; the exterior shell is going to be a tough pro level 840 denier nylon known for its ability to be highly abrasion resistant. The liner used on the inside is Bauer’s 37.5 Technology which is a revolutionary material that dries up to 5 times faster than similar fabrics. It works by using the player’s own body heat to evaporate sweat keeping you cooler and dryer in the process.
New to the 1X is going to be a pro inspired inner belt lock system. This is a suspended belt on the inside of the pant that secures right to the player’s body to increase mobility while skating. If you feel like the pants are too short, these come equipped with an adjustable extension fit of up to 1” in length.
